New Sunday Program

This Is Imaging is a new interactive event that is part of the Electronic Imaging Symposium (EI 2027), designed as an open and welcoming gateway into the world of imaging.

This is Imaging: Bringing together photography, optics, neuroscience, AI, robotics, manufacturing, and the creative industries.

Modern imaging has evolved far beyond cameras and photography. It underpins AI, robotics, medicine, hardware and semiconductor manufacturing, autonomous systems, filmmaking, scientific discovery, and countless technologies shaping our future. Yet few people appreciate its extraordinary breadth.

Through demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on experiences, This Is Imaging showcases the technologies, research, and careers that define imaging, bringing together academia, industry, and the next generation of innovators. This all-day inaugural event will take place on Sunday January 24th 2027, the day before the EI 2027 symposium, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport.
